Schwäbisch Gmünd is an old town, the first vestiges of settlements date back to the time of the Roman Empire.

In 2012, the city celebrated its 850th anniversary (founded in 1162). Schwäbisch Gmünd has earned the title of "oldest Stauder town", the Prediger municipal museum celebrates this important event from the 11th century to the present day. The "Staufer and Schwäbisch Gmünd" brings the art and culture of the Staufer period to life with around 80 exquisite original documents, important letters and models. Most of the exhibits come from the Gmünd Museum collection, supplemented by significant loans from the church and private collections.

You can see that this place has endured for a long time and that is also reflected in the diversity that we have here today.

As well as the Bud Spencer Bad near the center of Gmünd, which has many swimming pools and sports pools. The evening cultural program at Schwäbisch Gmünd is also impressive. There is something for everyone here, be it a visit to the traditional KKF cinema in Schwäbisch Gmünd, with a delicious Albra Cola in some brewery, the gastronomy is certainly something for discerning palates.

For the young and old, they can enjoy a hot air balloon ride, or take a zip line of varying degrees of difficulty, visit the Himmemelssturmer Tower where you will enjoy a panoramic view of the place. You will have to visit its markets and in winter you cannot miss the majestic Christmas market.

Besides the Einhorn tunnel. Over the course of the city's anniversary in 2012 and the state horticultural show in 2014, Schwabisch Gmüund was rebuilt and heavily renovated. The Rems was diverted and the Remsstrand was added. A wonderful recreation area was created along the Josefsbach
